Amaze your friends and family by turning wool tops into fabric! Impress your crafty cohorts with your mad felt skillz! Make up some brilliant excuses for why your kitchen smells like a wet dog! This is beginner feltmaking at its simplest and most satisfying. It takes less than half an hour and uses the minimum of space and equipment. Have fun! Send pictures! And don't forget the Febreze!

Stuff you'll need:
Pure wool tops (I order from the cracktastic Texere Yarns)
Colourful threads or yarns
A bamboo mat (Mine is an Ikea placemat)
Washing up liquid
A spouted jug or similar
Hot tap water

Textiles genius Tina, who taught me this technique, but will probably never see this tutorial due to her sneaking suspicion that the internet is witchcraft.
